As restrictions start to ease and the sun is shining upon us, I thought I'd take a moment to reflect on some of the small weddings I have undertaken in the past year and look at a few tips for making the most of a small wedding that falls within current Covid rules.

From 15th July people have been allowed to have weddings with up to 30 guests, but what are the new rules and how straight forward are they? As a photographer I'm happy to inform you that I have attended three weddings post lockdown so far, all home weddings and within the Government guidelines. Here's a quick run down of what you can and cannot do.

It's nearly time for me to have a well-earned rest with the family, Christmas now being less than a week away. I've been busy editing this week and love the finished results of my work.

There are many advantages to getting married in the winter season, however, winter wedding photography does bring its own challenges as there is less day light and guests are often reluctant to step outside and certainly don't want to be hanging around for very long. For this reason, I always carry good lighting equipment and a professional grade camera perfectly set up for winter low lighting conditions.
